There are many websites that promote joining the Peace Corps. A family member has asked me to research the subject and help her reach a decision about joining. I have found only a few sites with cautionary comments. I would like FReepers to help me balance the information with any negative feedback available.

Only in the Obama administration would a public official sanctioned for a form of malfeasance be honored as a speaker by the same organization that sanctioned him. It helps, of course, when he is a self-proclaimed Friend of the First Couple. As Obama and Pelosi assault the center-right citizenry, even folks with a casual interests politics are asking what they can do to change the course of this government. I've got some ideas and I'm looking to join or start a group on the internet that help organize and this energy. Many of the things to be done involve a bit of internet effort, similar to FREEP THIS POLL. I'm not looking for any money -- anyone who wants to donate already knows how to do that. This will be for people who would like to give their time.

As reported here over the last few weeks, Huntington has been facing a shortfall of over a million dollars in tax revenue. Mayor Updike has tried to acquire a trash fee, has laid of a minimum of 12 people (including 6 fire fighters), closed one fire station and gotten a lot of bad reactions.
